College Park chess club is an organization where students come and play chess against one another and compete in tournaments against eight other schools.They help students find a community with people who share a similar hobby and like to enjoy the classic game of chess. They have  a tournament on February 4th at Magnolia High School, where they will compete against other schools in a high risk intense match. The College Park chess team is led by Mr. Ewbank, and meets every Tuesday in room 1609. Chess club has 10 members, ranging from all classes. Junior Spencer Hulsey is a chess prodigy and shows much promise at the upcoming tournament. Chess club aims to create an interest in chess and help members build friendships through the sport of chess.
