This Thursday, February 10th, College Park will host an event called CP Showcase. The evening is to display all options of electives and courses for incoming freshmen and underclassmen to look through and learn about. Along with the electives and clubs there will be a meeting at 6 pm in the auditorium about dual credit classes and another at 6:30 pm for AP classes to inform students on the benefits and help decide if they are willing to take advanced classes. The course and electives fair starts at 5:30 pm and ends at 6:30 pm where there will be tables with representatives from each club to explain what each club is, what activities they will partake in and they’ll also help students choose which club is for them and if they are capable of taking it. This is a great opportunity for nearing high schoolers to discover what type of classes and clubs they would enjoy. There are about 50 clubs and fine arts options as well as other classes and extracurricular options to explore with informational handouts provided for students to read and make final decisions on what they want to join.
