As autumn is approaching and the color of leaves are changing along with the weather, many events are taking place. Let’s talk about some things everyone is pumped for.

Starting off with one of the most joyous yet spooky parts of fall, Halloween. Even if you’re not a big fan of scary movies or haunted houses, who doesn’t like some free candy?

“Halloween is my favorite holiday and I absolutely love volunteering at the haunted trails with my friends,” Junior Ema Bavdaz said.

Since October of 2016, The Woodlands Township has hosted an annual outdoor haunted house at the Bear Branch park from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm for the community to come together and enjoy some Fall spirit for only $8 per person.

Many are also thrilled to do some traditional pumpkin carving. It doesn’t matter if you’re an artist or not, who doesn’t enjoy carving pumpkins? Supplies for carving pumpkins can be found at many local grocery stores as well as the pumpkins themselves. Although there is always the option to go to a pumpkin patch.

“My favorite part of fall is carving pumpkins with my friends and watching scary movies afterward,” Sophomore Marley Miller.

The Wood Duck Farm, 270 Pine Valley Road, is open every Saturday from 8am to 12pm for anyone to pick out pumpkins and take in the crisp air.
