With UIL and competition season in full swing, there are just too many Cavalier wins to write about individually. Here are some of the most recent reasons to celebrate your fellow peers:
- The Journalism Team saw huge success at their UIL Competition on March 27th at The Woodlands High School
- Copy editing: Bri O’Callghan- 2nd Place, Norberto Castillo- 6th place
- News writing: Norberto Castillo- 2nd Place, Isabella Carlin- 5th place, Hannah Dollar- 6th place
- Features: Hannah Dollar- 4th place
- Editorials: Jillian Parks- 2nd Place
- Headlines: Jillian Parks- 1st Place
- FFA went to the The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at NRG Park from February 26th to March 30th.
- Kendall Higgins, Haley Higgins, Kaylan Shinke, and CJ Wammes got first as a horse judging team
- Individually Kendall Higgins placed 2nd and Haley Higgins placed 7th
- Caroline Andrews won 2nd, 5th and 7th place with her breeding rabbits
- Kim Buckwalter and her heifer, Bubbles, received 4th in their class
- Jonathan Rister and his cow-calf pair got 6th place in their class
- Kaelyn Floyd received 6th and 8th place in their class with her two heifers
- Cameron Broughton placed 6th in his class with his heifer
- Taylor Turner placed 5th with her steer and made auction
- Heston Turner placed 4th with his steer and made auction
- Kendall Higgins, Haley Higgins, Kaylan Shinke, and CJ Wammes got first as a horse judging team
- Symphony and Chamber Orchestras got all 1’s (perfect score) at their competition at Klein Oak on March 31st
- Winterguard has received 1st place for three TCGC competitions in a row
- ROTC placed third at their regional competition on March 27th at Dayton High School
- Carla Reyes got 1st Place Commander
