On Thursday October 29th, CP 2020 graduate Victoria Ray was in a car wreck that threatened her life and took the life of her friend. She was admitted to her local hospital near the University of Alabama, where she attends, and was later moved to UAB in Birmingham. She suffered major internal bleeding, multiple breaks and fractures all throughout her body, and severe lacerations on her face and legs. She was taken to the ICU, where she fought to stay alive through the night. She woke up the next morning and was taken into surgery to address her major wounds. Since the accident, Victoria has undergone 6 surgeries to repair her broken bones and clean and stitch her lacerations. A Gofundme was started by family friend Kynsley Davis to help raise money for Victoria’s family, so they can stay with their daughter and not have to worry about work. The goal for the fundraiser was $50,000, and they have since exceeded that goal with a total of $50,035, but are still taking donations.
