Holiday Food Drive Recap

Holiday+Food+Drive+Recap

In anticipation of the holiday season, College Park students teamed up with other CISD schools to help the Montgomery County Food with its Holiday Food Drive.

The Holiday Food Drive, which ends December 4, is an annual event held by the Montgomery County Food Bank. The goal is to collect as many food donations as possible to support hunger among the less fortunate, a task that has become increasingly relevant as the pandemic continues to impact the community.

Along with other CISD and local schools such as The Woodlands High School and The Woodlands Christian Academy, the Student Council and Interact Club volunteered to raise canned foods from their fellow classmates. Throughout the weeks prior, they set up a friendly competition with The Woodlands High School to see which school could raise the most cans.

Although the competition has ended, students who are interested in still helping the Holiday Food Drive can still send their donations to the Montgomery County Food Bank at 1 Food For Life Way, in Conroe until the December 4 deadline.

Donated items include but are not limited to canned meat, grains, vegetables, beans, fruits, cereals, and healthy snacks. If unable to drop off food, donations are also accepted, with one dollar providing five meals.
